Pakistan is playing its final game of the ODI World Cup 2023 against England in Kolkata. The men in green have already been eliminated from the race for the final four places. The biggest talking point was a fiery moment between Mohammed Rizwan and Babar Azam. Social media users are now wondering if the skipper and his deputy have fallen apart.

Jos Buttler had no hesitation in batting first after he won the toss at the Eden Gardens ground. The English went in with the same team that played against the Dutch side. Shadab Khan came into the side for Hasan Ali which was the only change for Pakistan.

The Pakistani team performance has been called out several times by many experts. After a promising start to the ODI World Cup 2023, Pakistan lost their way. Babar Azam saw his side lose four games in a row to find themselves struggling. The last nail in the coffin for Pakistan was New Zealand’s win over Sri Lanka on Thursday.

Rift now in the open between Babar Azam and Mohammed Rizwan?

Social Media users were left surprised when a short clip of Babar Azam and Mohammed Rizwan has gone viral. A furious-looking Babar Azam can be seen swatting aside Mohammed Rizwan’s hand during wicket celebrations.

Mohammed Rizwan is the most likely candidate to replace Babar Azam as the next skipper of the Pakistan side. The 30-year-old had a decent ODI World Cup 2023 campaign with a memorable century versus Sri Lanka in a huge chase.

England scored 337/9 from their 50 overs after batting first. Jonny Bairstow finally found form to score 59 runs from 61 balls. Joe Root chipped in with 60 runs which came off 72 balls. Ben Stokes who had scored a fine century in the last game top scored yet again with 84 runs. The 32-year-old scored his runs from 76 balls with 11 fours and 2 huge sixes.

Haris Rauf picked 3/64 with the ball while Shaheen Afridi and Mohammad  Wasim Jr picked two wickets each. Chasing 338 to win, Pakistan lost Abdullah Shafique and Fakhar Zaman early. David Willey playing his final game for England sent back both the Pakistani openers. Babar Azam scored 38 before falling to Gus Atkinson while Rizwan was bowled by Moeen Ali for 36 runs.
